Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyam Aurangzeb Saturday strongly criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan's latest attack against her party leadership and alleged him for giving an 'NRO' to his sister Aleema Khanum.

Talking to the media, the PML-N spokesperson sharply reacted to Prime Minister Imran Khan's remarks in which he stated that the 'NRO' given by former president Gen Pervez Musharraf (retd) to Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari destroyed the country and led to current crisis.

"Imran Khan is speaking of the NRO because he had been a collaborator of Musharraf regime and was conspiring against an elected government," she maintained. Marriyam said a decision has been taken to convene a consultative meeting of the joint opposition in the Parliament shortly to discuss the govt's conduct, adding that the opposition will not be scared of 'threats.'

"The opposition will not come under any pressure and we reject your dictatorial and fascist mentality," the PML-N spokesperson further responded to Prime Minister Khan's criticism on the party leadership.

She also described Prime Minister Khan as "selected premier", saying: "Imran Khan, being a selected prime minister is neither having any authority nor is enjoying any respect among the people."

She further said the opposition will not offer an "olive branch" to the government for its 'anti-people' policies and its poor performance, adding that they would continue to question the government's bad performance, increasing inflation, hike in gas and electricity prices and the unfulfilled promises made with the people.

The PML-N spokesperson maintained that Prime Minister Khan is wanted to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the helicopter case. She also demanded resignation of the prime minister, adding that the NAB should arrest him.

She said, "Parliament is not a slave to Imran Khan's will, rather he is answerable to the Parliament and the opposition will continue to ask for his accountability."

"Earlier, he [Imran Khan] was attacking the Parliament from the container and now he is attacking the Parliament from within the Parliament," she maintained, adding that the government has completely failed on its promises and a 'drama' is being staged to befool the masses.

She also alleged the prime minister for giving an 'NRO' to his sister Aleema Khanum, adding that the opposition will continue to question the elected accountability process.

She claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan is afraid of Shahbaz Sharif as being the opposition leader and PAC chairman he might unearth the government's corruption and corrupt practices.
